Meet the Artist
Mariya Fye was born and raised in the former USSR and has been living in the United States since the mid-1990s. She showed an early talent for art, attending an intensive program for gifted youth in the Soviet Union. Upon immigrating to the US as a teenager, Mariya pursued her passion further, earning a Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
In addition to her art, Mariya is deeply committed to mental health. She has studied Art Therapy and provides mental health services in various capacities. Currently, she works as a mental health provider at a university counseling center and volunteers her time and artistic expertise to support mental health services through Art for Vets, aiding veterans, former military, and military-affiliated students.
Mariya’s artwork is prominently displayed at several local establishments in Glasgow, KY, including Yancey’s, The Creamery, and 221A Market On Green.
Using acrylic as her primary medium, Mariya creates original paintings and designs unique jewelry pieces, each bearing her one-of-a-kind touch. Her portfolio can be viewed at fyeartanddesign.com.
